Hi, Please read the Peak Seekers analysis of NMAT (http://www.peakseekers.in/NMAT-2006-Analysis.html). And if you appeared for it, you might want to read the JMET analysis (http://www.peakseekers.in/JMET-2006-Analysis.html) too. For future reference, please note that we slog every Sunday to be the first institute to give a detailed analysis. So, keep visiting the Peak Seekers website (http://www.peakseekers.in/).

Hello Sir,
I've read the NMAT analysis, am unsure if I'll get what would be required.
Well, the paper did not seem so bad after the analysis, but it was a good one either ....
Hoping for the best ....

Hello ppl:) :)
Hey dear frends cat has gone.... nmat has also gone.... now we got snap on our target..... we all must have tried and performed to the best in the past two exams.....but still some have hit the target... some still not sure....
At this juncture we need to perform equally good in snap.... with a couple of days now left and a new paper pattern.... i firstly thank Manish sir for giving us the mock snap ppr with the new pattern..... I feel that we must discuss our strategies for this paper which might help us excel in the paper....
looking at the new paper what i have understood of it is that we need to keep shifiting between accuracy and speed... with two hours in hand and 165 questions , we will obviously opt for speed... but here with just 35 questions in logic for two marks each i guess we need to shift our focus on accuracy as well.....
keeping the above conditions i have a strategy in my mind which i wood like to share with my frends....
logical reasoning 35Q's 70 mks 40-50 mins focus on accuracy
maths & di 50Q's 50 mks 35-40 mins focus on speed
gk 40Q's 40 mks 10-15 mins focus on accuracy
english 40Q's 40 mks 30-35 mins focus on speed
A very good analogy comes to my mind while giving my snap paper to that of driving a car in a race on a bad road... at the start of the paper u need to warm up and are not at the best of your ability and concentration level go in for logic where you need to spend the maximium time of your paper with least number of questions and maximum number of marks.... At the end of the sec u will find u are in a good place with atleast 25 q's attempted and 50 mks of ppr.... this shall boost your morale and you shift your gears to gear4 where in your focus shifts to speed .... you go ahead and try to crack good number of questions in maths and di..... on this fast track comes another patch of bonus track where u can maxmise your score by getting them... thats the gk section where accuracy is the only thing to focus on ..... and finaly to reach the finishing line you enter the last lap... where in you focus on your speed and try to maximise your score at the same time.......
so dear frends this is my point of view ....its just for your reference ...... if you may have a better strategy than this with you plz share with all of us....
Thank you ppl
&
Best of luck for snap peakseekerssss:cool:

Hi Yash,
In case you do not end up getting admission to your dream institute, try applying to Peak Seekers!! :)
Well here is what my expectations from the paper is:
Bad GK, Tough Logic, Extremely Easy Quant/DI and Verbal!
Based on above here is how you should go about attempting the paper:
Divide the paper into two parts: 1st Half 60 min, 2nd Half: 60 min.
In the first half you should be attempting the 75 Q's from Logic and GK! I think this is easily possible considering the fact that you will no be able to much GK.
In the second half attempt 90 Q's of Verbal and Quant!
Remember couple of things that are important:
1. You should have seen all 35 Logic questions (each being 2 marks each, doesn't make sense to leave even a single question). look at it this way, even if you were to attempt 25 Q's correctly in 45 min, 50 marks are in your kitty. Now, Another 50 marks in 75 minutes shoul not be a problem!
2. There is no sectional cut-off's for SCMHRD! So you may even choose to ignore one section or the other that you are not good at.
To sum up, Target a net score of 100 marks. This may mean you will have to make an attempt of 120 marks (not Q's)! Here is how 120 marks attempt can come from: 60 marks of Logic (30 Q's), 10 marks of GK, 30 marks of Verbal and 20 marks of Quant. In other words, an attempt of 90 Q's in 120 min. shouldn't be tough, what say?
Remember, I don't think the paper would be as tough as NMAT (who knows, this year every paper is turning out to be different! ;) ).
All the Best!

Manish sir

Hello people,
I'm not taking SNAP, but I'ld like to contribute in decision-making.
As pointed out by Manish Sir, {and if the paper turns up the very way}, the easier section of Quants/DI & Verbal needs more accuracy, & the GK section can have a maximum of 10-15 attempts.
Since the logic is expected to be tougher, it can be kept for the last 40 odd minutes, where again the focus would be on accuracy.
All the Best !!!

Kumar.
