Read Any Great Books Lately ?????

Hey Folks,
I N e e d H e l p !!!!


Everytime I visit a bookshop i get to see hundreds of new titles on the shelves
& they all seem so interesting that i just can't choose one to read :confused:
since i have time to read only one book a week atmost, i end up spending a lot of time
searching for a great book to read ......
I am sure most of u guys must have read some books recently so i'd be grateful if you'll
could suggest some books........It doesnt have to be a novel....It could be a book based on
any topic just as long as it is interesting :)
Don't forget to say somehting about the book u are suggesting ;)

here's a list of my uber favorite books & stories
English August
Pride & Prejudice
Sense & Sensibility
Blandings stories by P.G. Wodehouse
Stories by R.K. Nararayan

Have read lots of other books & stories but somehow they don't seem to affect me the way these books & stories have.

As far as describing my favorite book goes, lets just say If i was ever in love with a literary character except for Mr. Darcy, it'd have to Agastya sen-the protagonist. This dark comedy set in the backdrop of the Indian Bureaucracy exposes the petty, pretentious and psychotically funny side of life in a small town.

The humor ranges from witty on moment to goofy at the next and one cannot help but identify with the lovable Agsatya as he tries to make sense of all that goes on around him. What is even more endearing is his transformation from the inert, stuck-up brat who finds himself stuck in Indian Babuism to a more emphatic and stable young man.

IF you enjoyed Five Point Someone, this one is miles ahead.
Trust me, you grow with the book.
