Hi,
Here are the scores as on today:
Anil: 19 points
Minnat: 18 points
Nisha: 5 ponits
Ruchira: 5 points
Abhinav: 4 points
Robin: 2 points
And here is the question for today:
Q.68.
Churchgate station has 3 clocks. The first clock displays the time as 8.00 O'clock, the second one 8.50, while the third one shows 8.20. I am thoroughly confused!
When I approach the station master he said, one of them is 20 minutes ahead of time, the other one is behind time, while the third one is showing a time that is 30 minutes away from the actual time.
I thanked the station master for confusing me further! Can you help me find the exact time at present?
Yes, the deadline is exactly 2 days from the actual time ;) .
Regards,
Manish sir

Hello Sir,
The correct time should be 8:30.
The clock at 8:00 is away from it by 30 mins.
The clock at 8:50 is ahead from it by 20 mins.
The clock at 8:20 is behind the actual time.
Thanks & Regards,
Anil Daga
:)
BTW has the answer for Q 69 been taken into consideration for calculating the above scores. If the answer is right then I should be on 24 points as of now.

sir i was jus wondering if u make d point system other way round..i mean 5 points who answers last n 2 to one who answers first (keeping lowest scorer as winner will win..tht u decide..keep it some multiple other than tens) then wat wil happen...wanna check out the excitement then??
he he... food for thought??

yes the answer seems to be as anil mentioned.
1st clock that shows 8:00 is half an hour behind time.
2nd clock which shows 8:50 is 20 minutes ahead of time.
the third clock is behind time.
thus, the correct time is 8:30.

Hi Anil,
The answer is indeed 8.30!
Congrats Lajja and Rishabh (godbless!) for your first two points! Minnat and Abhinav, you too get 2 points each. While, Anil you have consolidated your lead by another 5 pointer (are you hooked on to forum all the time?).
The only real data that we can start our solution by is "One of the watch is 20 minutes ahead of time".
Let us say, it the 8.00 O'clock watch that is 20 min. ahead...This means the real time must be 7.40. So, the clock that is 30 min. away from this should be showing either 7.10 or 8.10. But there is no such clock!
Let us now assume that the 8.20 clock must be 20 min. ahead...This means the correct time must be 8.00 O'clock! So, the clock that is 30 min. away must be showing either 7.30 or 8.30. Again, there is no such clock.
This means that the 8.50 clock is 20 min. ahead...this means the correct time is 8.30! The clock that is 30 min. away is showing 8.00 and the one that is behind time is showing 8.20.
Nice, to see a good response from so many of you! Can you sustain this enthusiasm please??
Regards,
Manish sir
