Thumbs up Prelimnary Analysis of CET Results

Hi,

I have just about managed to find time to do some prelimnary analysis about the CET results:

Approximate number of Mumbai University students:

Above 147: 2
Above 144: 4
Above 142: 6
Above 135: 27
Above 133: 42
Above 132: 52
Above 131: 61
Above 130: 73
Above 129: 86
Above 128: 100
Above 127: 117
Above 125: 165
Above 123: 215
Above 120: 297
Above 119: 328
Above 117: 399
Above 116: 449
Above 115: 489
Above 114: 459
Above 113: 581
Above 112: 647
Above 110: 762
Above 108: 894
Above 106: 1050
Above 105: 1140
Above 104: 1253
Above 103: 1341
Above 100: 1658

Approximate written cut-off scores of top 9 colleges:

Jamnalal Bajaj: 133
Sydenham: 129-130
Somaiya: 126-128
Welingkar: 125-127
SIES: 121-124
Chetana's: 118-121
MET: 115-118
Dalmiya: 111-115
IES: 106-111

DISCLAIMER:

1. The above analysis has been worked out using statistical analysis based on this years results and last year's admissions. It may be accurate to a great extent, but there is always a scope for an error. So just take the above for your reference purpose only so as to give you a ball-park.

2. We have not considered the effect of GD-PI scores on the ranks. As you can see every score has many candidates on it. So even if you manage to score 4-5 above the average scores, there is a possibility that you jump up several ranks and hence land up in a better college.

I will follow it up with a much detailed analysis soon.

Regards,

Manish sir
