Smile Excellent Analysis

Wow sir!!! Excellent analysis and very helpful too...
Thank you so much... I am sure this will help a lot of people to get a clear picture of where they could probably stand... Also, I am sure this would be more or less the scenario considering your accurate analysis in the past 2 yrs... Keep us Posted !!!!

Hi Kumar,

Nice to hear from you after a long time! And congratulations on your improvement in score this year.

Let me get your question correctly - You are asking, whether SIES MMS is good or PG is good, right?

As long as the choice is between two courses of the same college, it is always better to go for MMS, as a University Degree is always reliable in the long run. Yes, I have heard stories that some institutes are promoting their PG programs over MMS program (and favoring PG students over MMS students), but I doubt whether the resources and faculty would be different for the two programs. It is always better to stick with a Degree over a Diploma.

Besides, if you secure a seat in a PG program of some institute and later get admission into the MMS program of the same institute in CAP rounds, there are less hassles about refund, as they transfer the fees internally!

So, if you get into SIES MMS and PG both, go for MMS.

I hope, I have answered you. Thanks for writing. Keep posting!

Regards,

Manish sir

Thanks Devanshi,

What's the use of my experience of 10 years, if I am not able to give our students the accurate picture.

All of you can keep me posted for any personal counseling that you may require regards your scores and admissions.

Regards,

Manish sir

Hi Kumar,

Yes, that is a good point that PG program is industry oriented and has contemporary subjects! But as a management student, you are anyways required to keep track of things happening around you and latest and contemporary issues (be it a PG student or a MMS one)! One would be a fool to stick to the prescribed syllabus! I mean, MBA is not about cramming a few books, filling the answer sheets and passing exams. At the end of the day you are doing a lot of case studies, presentations, projects and participating in may academic oriented events! All of these help you to keep updated with the contemporary issues.

Regards,

Manish sir
